Happy 2012!

by graceelena on January 2, 2012

2011 was a year of extreme growth and learning. As of today, I have officially been studying law for an entire year! It feels incredible to look at how much I have learned.

I started my fourth consecutive semester today. And, just like the three semesters before that, I started the day by running late. I always end up on time to class but I cut it very close. This is something I have worked on before and was successful for a while, but the old routine has returned.

Thankfully, this led me to decide my first change for 2012. A few bloggers ( led by Stephany and Katherine) are getting together to make 12 small changes this year. Each month there will be a new goal (to be determined by each person). The idea is to make big changes by taking small steps. This means sticking to the goal from the previous month as well as the new goal. Which should be seamless since we will be creating new habits with each goal.

Thus, I present to you my January 2012 goal.

Prepare my supplies, lunch and clothes each evening.

This way I will be ready each morning. Instead of trying on several different outfits I will know what I am wearing, have my bag packed and my lunch made. I’ll have extra time to relax, go to the gym or study before school.

Wish me luck!

Do you have any resolutions or goals for January and/or 2012?

Love this idea of small, incremental changes! My goal is to not be late for anything. I’m going to make sure that I don’t try to squeeze in one final thing to do before I leave the house. And, if I’m late for something, I’ll deduct $10 from my budget as a penalty. xoxo
