Adventures in Europe

by graceelena on September 4, 2013

My trip to Europe was beautiful. It was more exhausting than I thought it would be but it provided me with good insights into my travel habits. Not planning the details of the trip ahead of time was not my best decision but we survived. I may post a few stories here later but my favorite parts of the trip do not translate well to a blog post. Like when we were walking in Nice, France and my mom said, “I feel like a steamed green bean.” A green bean because she’s tall. It wouldn’t make sense if she were steamed broccoli.

Here are a few photos from the trip. If there is anything someone would like to hear about let me know in the comments.

Great photos!

My question is:

What type of steamed veggie did YOU feel like?

I think I’d be asparagus. Long and lean with crazy hair.

Why do they paint their houses different colors? Is that so they can tell which house is theirs?

Yes it started as a way to identify the homes when the island of Burano was first settled on but now it’s just part of the culture and you actually have to get approval from the city before you can repaint your house. It was so pretty.

I had to do a double take to realize that was your mother. She looks like your sister!
