my favorite food blog: homesicktexan

http://homesicktexan.blogspot.com/

She is a displaced texan, she writes well, she's passionate about her culinary heritage and her photography is very good.

By the way, America's Test Kitchen has an interesting twist on frying french fries. They start with sliced potatoes in COLD oil! They use Yukon gold potatoes. Bringing the potatoes and the oil to a boil gets rid of the water in the poatotes. Looks painfully simple.
